Mercy School Of Nursing Alumni Scholarship
The Mercy School of Nursing Alumni Association has established nursing scholarships with Clarke College and Northeast Iowa Community College to provide financial assistance to persons pursuing a professional nursing career at one of these schools. Potential scholarship candidates are required to meet criteria established by each college. Applications/guidelines can be obtained from appropriate departments within Clarke or NICC. The scholarships are awarded at the Mercy School of Nursing Alumni Association banquet held in May of each year.
High School Students Pursuing a Career in Nursing
We are pleased once again to offer scholarships for the 2010 - 2011 academic year to area high school students. These awards are given annually to five graduating students in Mercy’s service area who plan to pursue a career as a registered nurse. Scholarship recipients are chosen based on class rank, ACT scores and GPAs, two letters of recommendation, a personal essay, and volunteer activities. They must be accepted in, or plan to attend, a university or community college to study nursing. Click here to see a listing of all eligible area high schools.
