Emergency Care

Inpatient Care
  • Our dedicated Pediatric Unit provides complete care including treatment of infectious disease, chronic illness and physical problems associated with children.
  • Newborns needing special assistance following birth are cared for in Mercy’s Level II Regional NICU by nurses specializing in their care, a neonatologist and pediatricians dedicated to your infant’s care.
  • Inpatient Mental Health Care is available for children and adolescents in a safe, caring environment.
Outpatient Services

Pediatric Therapies focus on achieving the highest level of functioning for children with disabilities, offering services that include speech and language, occupational and/or physical skill development. Call 563-589-9035 to learn more or to access care.

Nuclear Medicine is available to assist with meeting children’s special needs.

  • A renal scan is looking for overall function of the kidneys.
  • A DMSA scan lets the doctor see size, shape and position of the kidneys.
  • A bone scan is a way for doctors to see if there is any infection in the bone.
  • A Hida/Atresia scan is a way to make sure that your child’s biliary system is working.
