Mercy School of Nursing Alumni of Distinction Award

The Alumni of Distinction Award was created in 1977 to recognize graduates from Mercy School of Nursing who exemplify the personal and professional qualities of a Mercy nurse. Candidates for this award will be selected on how the individual has distinguished themselves in their profession and personal accomplishments. Nominations for this award must be submitted in writing from a Mercy School of Nursing Alumni member and must include information found on the nomination form. Additional letters supporting this nomination may be submitted and are welcomed. The nurses nominated will be asked to submit a Candidate Biographical Information Sheet. This will assist the Board with the selection process based on a standard format. This annual award is presented at the spring banquet.

**Previous nominees for the Alumni of Distinction Award that were not chosen may be resubmitted for consideration.

The 2007 Alumni of Distinction Award went to Karla Berns, Delores Welbes McCarron, and Mary Coletta Ferring Golding.
