 Mercy's Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is ready for babies requiring critical care - including premature infants, infants requiring ventilator assistance, and infants with special needs.
As the first unit developed in the state of Iowa, it is equipped with the most advanced technology. Mercy's NICU is backed by a dedicated staff with in-depth neonatal education, including the region's first and only board certified neonatologist. Located in the same area as the Birth Center, parents and grandparents may visit the intensive care unit at any time, day or night.
