Mercy Medical Center – Dyersville formed the Dyersville Health Foundation to enhance health care in the Dyersville area. The foundation will raise funds to permanently support Mercy – Dyersville, Oak Crest Manor Nursing Home and the Ellen Kennedy Living Center.
A board of area residents has been appointed to oversee the foundation, which is a separate entity of Mercy. All funds raised are held in area financial institutions and will be used in accordance with the mission of Mercy – Dyersville:
We work together and with others to continue the healing ministry of the church and to promote the well-being of people in the communities we serve by living the values of compassion, respect, excellence, stewardship and concern for those who are poor.

Annual Giving 2008
The goal of the 2008 annual campaign is to raise
$90,000 to purchase a state-of-the-art security and
alarm system for the residents of Oak Crest Manor
Nursing Home. Selectable programming features of the
new system include:
- Authorized staff, volunteers and visitors
will have access to the building without triggering
the alarm
- Built-in audible alarm to let staff know
which door is breached
- Back-up battery
- Interfaces with the fire alarm system

Mercy - Dyersville Auxiliary Gift Shop
Mercy – Dyersville Auxiliary members and community volunteers staff the Gift Shop in the lobby of the hospital and offer an amazing selection of gifts and cards, dolls, crystal, holiday and seasonal decorations and so much more. Special sales that expand into the lobby draw the shops many regular customers and many more shoppers.
Giving Your Gift
- Gifts may be made in a variety of ways including cash, check, credit card or in the form of stock and securities.
- You can give a donation to the Foundation and the Board will determine the best use of the funds.
- Gifts may be given through Endow Iowa in which you
may qualify for an additional Iowa tax credit.
- Memorial gifts and estate gifts are always needed and appreciated. You may give to a designated area (for example, Emergency Room, Oak Crest, Ellen Kennedy Living Center) or for a specific item.
