Lymphedema management is an individualized program
to help with chronic swelling due to inadequate lymph
drainage. Women who have had lymph nodes removed or
radiation therapy may be at risk for developing lymphedema.
Lymphedema usually begins with swelling of the hands
or feet. These programs focus on reduction of edema
(swelling) through a specific skin technique, compression
and education on skin care and exercise.
