No. Ultrasound uses sound waves which are harmless to you, when performing this procedure/test.

Is there any prep for this procedure/test?

There may be a prep for your procedure/test. Your physician should instruct you regarding any prep that is needed.

Are you allowed to tell me the results of this procedure/test?

No, we are not allowed to give you any results. The Radiologist will interpret the images and dictate a report that will be sent to your Physician.  That report should be available for you in 2-3 working days after your procedure/test has been completed.
